Anaheim Drivers – Changing Flats and Jump Starting Batteries Made Easy!

There’s nothing more frustrating than having a flat tire or a dead car battery. However, you can easily deal with these predicaments all by yourselves!

Changing a Flat

The first order of business is making sure you’re away from oncoming traffic. You don’t want to get hit by a passing car. Loosen your lug nuts just a bit, put the jack underneath the car in its proper spot, jack up your car, take off the lug nuts, and remove the damaged tire. Put on the spare, secure the lug nuts, lower your car, drive a couple of hundred yards, retighten the lug nuts and you’re done!

Battery Jump Start

Get someone to help you out with their car, pop open both hoods, and make sure both cars are tuned off. Connect one end of the red cable to the good battery’s ‘+’ side, and its other end to the ‘+’ side of the dead battery. Connect the black cable to the good battery’s ‘-‘ side and its other end to a piece of metal on the dead car. Turn on the good engine, and then turn on your engine.
